Testamurs
Testamurs & Replacement Testamurs
The testamur is a 'legal' document imprinted with the Academic Seal of the University. Testamurs are printed using the full name in which you are enrolled (initials, nicknames, abbreviations are NOT permitted). Prior to Graduation, pPlease ensure that your name details are correct on any material sent to you. If changes are required you must complete and lodge a Change of Name (CN) form with documentary evidence (eg marriage certificate, photo drivers license, birth certificate etc) to a Student Centre immediately.
Graduands who attend a ceremony will be presented with their testamur by the Presiding Officer. Graduands who elect to defer their attendance will receive their testamur in the post following their official graduation ceremony. Deferred graduates can then bring their testamur to the deferred ceremony or alternatively, there will be a replica available on the day.
Graduands who elect to not attend their ceremony receive their testamur in the mail approximately 2 weeks after the graduation ceremony.
Replacement Testamurs
If your testamur is irretrievably lost, destroyed or damaged a replacement can be requested. If the original testamur has been damaged and you are requesting a replacement, you MUST return the damaged testamur to the Graduation Office with your request.
To make a request for a replacement testamur, please complete the Replacement Testamur Form, provide a statutory declaration outlining the circumstances of the loss/damage, and a replacement fee of:
- $65.00(incl. GST) for graduates in Australia (per testamur)
- $80.00 for overseas graduates (per testamur)
Processing of a replacement testamur will be within 10 working days within Australia.
