If withdrawal from your course also involves withdrawal of unit/s, the following timelines and penalties apply:
- Up until the end of week three of the standard study period – no penalty (no notation on your academic transcript).

- Week four up until the census date – no penalty (a notation of WW ‘withdrawn without academic penalty’ will appear on your academic transcript).

- From the day after the census date up until the commencement of the central examination period, withdrawing from a unit will result in financial and student learning entitlement (if applicable) penalties (a notation of WN ‘withdrawn fail’ will appear on your academic transcript). Therefore you will be financially liable for the unit and will consume student learning entitlement.

- If you have special circumstances you can apply for withdrawal from the unit/s without academic penalty (prior to commencement of the central examination period). In this instance you must contact your Course Co-ordinator.

- Any student who withdraws from their course after the census date due to special circumstances may apply to have their student learning entitlement re-credited and their fees refunded as follows:
