Come to Orientation Activities - Commencing 11 February 2008
For most new students, Orientation is your first experience of campus life. Each course of study will have Orientation activities planned for new students. These activities are of utmost importance, as you will receive vital information and advice regarding your course.
January
- Wed 2 Jan – Due date for payment of Summer A term fees
- Mon 14 Jan – Census date Summer A term
- Mon 14 Jan – After this date, Summer A term units can only be added on a fee-paying basis (late fee applies)
February
- Mon 4 Feb – Due date for payment of Summer B term fees
- Mon 11 Feb to Fri 15 Feb - Orientation Week
- Mon 11 Feb – Census date Summer B term
- Mon 11 Feb – After this date, Summer B term units can only be added on a fee-paying basis (late fee applies)
- Semester 1: 18 February – 14 June
- Mon 18 Feb – Semester 1 lectures commence
- Mon 18 Feb – Due date for payment of Semester 1 fees for all students
March
- Sun 2 Mar – Final day to ADD a unit to Semester 1 enrolment (no late fee)
- Sun 9 Mar – Final day to WITHDRAW from a Semester 1 unit (without notation on academic record)
- Mon 24 Mar – Semester 1 mid-semester break (24 Mar to 28 Mar)
- Mon 31 Mar – Census date Semester 1
- Final day to withdraw from a unit WITHOUT FINANCIAL or ACADEMIC PENALTY (i.e. Grade of WW recorded, and all fees paid are refundable)
- Final day to ADD a Semester 1 unit (late fee applies)
- Mon 31 Mar– Due date for payment of Autumn term fees
April
- Tue 1 Apr – Semester 1 units can only be added on a fee-paying basis (late fee applies)
- Mon 21 Apr – Census date Autumn term
- Mon 21 Apr – After this date Autumn term units can only be added on a fee-paying basis (late fee applies)
May
- Sun 25 May – Last day to WITHDRAW from a unit in Semester 1. (Withdrawals will incur the grade of WN – Withdrawal - Fail)
- Mon 26 May – Semester 1 Central examinations commence
June
- Sat 14 Jun – Semester 1 Central examinations end
- Mon 16 Jun – Due date for payment of Winter term fees
- Mon 23 Jun – Census date Winter term
- Mon 23 Jun – After this date, Winter term units can only be added on a fee-paying basis (late fee applies)
July
- Mon 7 – Wed 9 Jul – Deferred Examinations
- Semester 2: 28 July – 22 November
- Mon 28 Jul – Semester 2 lectures commence
- Mon 28 Jul – Due date for payment of Semester 2 fees for all students
August
- Sun 10 Aug – Final day to ADD a unit to Semester 2 enrolment (no late fee)
- Sun 17 Aug – Final day to WITHDRAW from a Semester 2 unit (without notation on academic record)
- Sun 31 Aug – Census date Semester 2
- Final day to withdraw from a unit WITHOUT FINANCIAL or ACADEMIC PENALTY (i.e. Grade of WW recorded, and all fees paid are refundable)

- Sun 2 Nov – Last day to WITHDRAW from a unit in Semester 2. (Withdrawals will incur the grade of WN – Withdrawal - Fail)
- Mon 3 Nov - Semester 2 Central examinations commence
- Mon 10 Nov – Due date day for payment of Spring B term fees
- Sat 22 Nov – Semester 2 Central examinations end
- Mon 24 Nov – Census date Spring B term
- Mon 24 Nov – After this date, Spring B term units can only be added on a fee-paying basis (late fee applies)
December
- Tue 16 – Thu 18 Dec – Deferred Examinations
