Society of St Vincent De Paul Indigenous Student Scholarship
(Established in 2005 and sponsored by the Broken Bay Diocesan Council of the Society of St Vincent de Paul.)
1. The Scholarship will have a value of up $2,000 per annum for the balance of the recipient’s course.
2. The Scholarship will be open to Indigenous students who have successfully completed the first year of any undergraduate course at the Strathfield (Mount Saint Mary) or North Sydney (MacKillop) campuses of the University.
3. Applications should include –
- evidence of academic merit, with particular emphasis on the results of the previous year;
- an explanation on how the Scholarship could financially support their intended program of study; and
- evidence of commitment by the applicant to using her/his qualifications to work for the betterment of the Indigenous community.
4. One Scholarship may be awarded each year on the recommendation of a Selection Committee consisting of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Students and Learning), the Co-ordinator, Yalbalinga Indigenous Education Unit and the Director, Australian Catholic University Foundation.
