Wexford Bursary

The Australian members of the Wexford Senate make available a bursary to support a suitably qualified Indigenous student undertaking postgraduate study at Australian Catholic University. The specific goal is the development of skills of emerging leaders of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through professional preparation at postgraduate level.

Eligibility

The Bursary is awarded on the basis of need and is made available to an Indigenous student enrolling in a postgraduate course at the University.

Value

The successful applicant will be awarded a scholarship to the value of $3,000 as a one-off payment.
In any year the Wexford Bursary Committee may decide to award a bursary of less than this amount.

Selection Criteria

Applicants should submit an application form and attach a 200 word statement providing;

  • An explanation on how the Bursary could financially support their intended program of study.
  • An explanation on how their intended program of study could potentially advantage Indigenous communities,
