Aquinas Campus
In Ballarat, the only rural campus of the Australian Catholic University, Aquinas Campus had its beginnings in the establishment of the Aquinas Training College by the Ballarat Sisters of Mercy in 1909. In 1974 the property at 1200 Mair Street became the new site for the Catholic Teachers' College, which was known initially as Aquinas College. Later that year the Ballarat campus became part of the Institute of Catholic Education. Since 1 January 1991 the Aquinas Campus has been one of the six locations of Australian Catholic University.
