LH Martin Institute Executive Education Program
The LH Martin Executive Education Program (replaces programs formerly operated through the AVCC or Universities Australia) is designed to support and promote the development of leadership and management capabilities for both academic and general staff.
Nomination Process
There is a two stage nomination process. The first stage is an internal ACU process whereby staff are nominated to attend one of the courses by members of the Executive. All nominations are considered and recommendations from the internal selection process are submitted to the Vice-Chancellor. Subject to his endorsement, the names of successful ACU nominees are put forward to LH Martin Institute for consideration.
The second stage involves consideration of all University nominees by LH Martin Institute. It should be noted that nomination by ACU does not automatically guarantee a place on the selected LH Martin Institute Program.
Funding for a limited number of participants is being offered by ACU. In 2009, the Learning and Development Unit will fund selected general staff members on a shared funding basis. Nominating staff are asked to indicate their commitment to contributing 60% of the course fee through their organisational unit.
Travel and incidental costs associated with these courses are met by the participant's organisational unit.
