Policies & Procedures
HR is responsible for developing and maintaining policies across a wide range of human resource management and associated topics which are grouped in the categories listed in the menu at left.
The policies are provided to assist staff and nominated supervisors exercise their responsibilities and access benefits and entitlements. They are binding on all those members of staff covered by the respective policies.
The Policies are prepared and posted on the web as determined policies introduced by Vice Chancellor's determination. Subsequent to this consultations are held with the University workplace community, including the ACU Staff Consultative Committee, and staff suggestions and input is considered by the University prior to finalisation of each policy. In addition any member of the University staff may at any time suggest improvements to any policy by submitting these in writing to the Director Human Resources.
Any staff member who requires assistance in understanding Human Resources policies should first consult her/his nominated supervisor who is responsible for the implementation and operation of the policy arrangements in her/his work area. Should further advice be needed, staff should contact the Human Resources Consultant responsible for her/his campus.
