Performance Development Program for General Staff
ACU National has a developmental tool in place called the Performance Development Program (PDP). The main objective of the PDP is to establish annual performance-related feedback between the staff member and the nominated supervisor.
The PDP Form consists of two parts.
The Performance Plan involves the identification of tasks and Key Result Areas for the following 12 months and the Learning & Developmental needs of the staff member.
The Annual Review involves assessing performance over the past 12 months.
The Annual Planning and Review Cycle is normally twelve months in duration. All Performance Plans and Annual Reviews for General Staff are required to be completed during the 12 week period that represents Semester 1 each year (Feb - May) – known as the PDP window.
New General Staff who are eligible to participate in the PDP must have their first Individual Performance Plan completed within three months of commencing employment at ACU.
Performance assessed at the Annual Review is linked to incremental progression and to a Performance Bonus which is disbursed once a year.
Individual PDPs should be linked to the Organisational Unit’s Strategic / Operational Plan which in turn is linked to the Core Business plans which flows from the ACU National Strategic Plan.
