Study Support
The University encourages continuous learning through the provision of Study Leave and Financial Assistance for general staff who are undertaking external study.
Study Support is available to full-time and part-time staff and may be approved if the proposed course of study will lead to the attainment of skills or qualifications considered by the University to be relevant to your current or potential employment with the University. Study Support is granted at the discretion of the University and subject to its operating needs.
Study time approval may only be granted to assist staff who are enrolled on a part-time basis. Part-time study means up to two University level subjects per semester (or equivalent).
Study time granted may vary on the basis of the type of study.
Financial assistance will be paid at the rate of $300 per unit on successful completion of each unit or equivalent (up to a maximum of two subjects per study period), or the actual amount, if the cost to the staff member is less than $300 for each unit or equivalent (up to a maximum of two subjects per study period).
