Ceremony Dates and Deadlines

Graduation is a two-step process:

  1. Students apply for course completion during their final semester of study;
  2. Once students have a status of course complete, they are then eligible to register for graduation.

2016 Autumn Important Deadlines

Course Completion

Students must be course complete by the following deadlines in order to graduate in Autumn 2016:

Students who are not course complete by the above deadlines will graduate in the Spring 2016 ceremonies. Students expecting to graduate in Autumn 2016, but who are not course complete at least two weeks prior to the deadlines are advised to contact their Course Coordinator for further investigation.

Summer Term 2016

Summer Term enrolment does not guarantee eligibility for Autumn graduation as the official Summer Term results will be released after the Round 1 course completion deadline for graduation in Canberra, Melbourne and Ballarat.

Graduation Registration

All eligible students must complete graduation registration in Student Connect in order to complete critical checks of their full name, contact details, award name, and to select from one of three graduation options:

Graduation registration will open in Student Connect in late December 2015. The following registration deadlines apply:

Deadline Details
5pm Friday 26th February 2016 Graduation registration in Student Connect CLOSES for Canberra, Melbourne and Ballarat ceremonies.
This is the FINAL date to register for the Canberra, Melbourne or Ballarat ceremonies.
5pm Friday 15th April 2016 Graduation registration in Student Connect CLOSES for Brisbane and Sydney ceremonies.
This is the FINAL date to register for the Brisbane or Sydney ceremonies.

Change of Name

Your testamur and other important graduation documentation will be issued with your full name as it appears in Student Connect. It is important that you check that your full name is recorded correctly in Student Connect because changes cannot be made after graduation. Check that spelling, capitalisation and middle names are recorded correctly.  If changes are required, you must complete and lodge a Change of Name (CN) form with documentary evidence (e.g. marriage certificate, drivers license, birth certificate, passport) to a AskACU Service Centre by the following deadlines for Autumn 2016 graduation:
